Muhammad Y. Fahmy built his career on a simple conviction: compliance works best when it is treated as a discipline, not a document exercise.
He began that discipline at sea. A former officer in the Egyptian Navy with a Missile Systems specialization, he trained as a Master Mariner under STCW A-II/2 with Dynamic Positioning Advanced qualification, an environment where checklists are not paperwork but the difference between a safe watch and an incident report. That standard followed him ashore.
more than two decades he has carried it through offshore and oil and gas operations in the Gulf, through certification body auditing across nine ISO standards, and into the manufacturing floor as a director of regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. He founded Fahmy Consulting to bring the same structured, auditable approach to regulatory strategy, management systems, compliance, and business advisory work for clients across the United States and the GCC, serving organizations in maritime, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, food safety, and manufacturing sectors.
He holds IRCA Lead Auditor credentials across nine management system standards, a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and executive education from Harvard Business School. He is currently pursuing an MBA at Boston University's Questrom School of Business.
